Rhonda Gayle (Jordan) Howell

A service to celebrate the life of Rhonda Gayle Howell will be 3 pm Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rocky Mount Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery in Robeline, LA. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of service on the 14th at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Rhonda Gayle Jordan Howell, age 62 and a resident of Baytown, TX, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born August 18, 1953 in Louisiana and lived in Mississippi before settling down in Texas. She worked as a Physician’s Assistant for Dr. Tolon and Dr. Johnson before retiring in 2002. Rhonda opened her home and heart and mothered many of her nieces and nephews. After retirement, she enjoyed traveling which included destinations like Ireland, Australia, Thailand, Philippine Islands, Netherlands, and Belgium. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt and will be dearly missed by her family. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Byron Howell; son, Joshua Howell and his wife Rachel; sisters, Cheryl Hubbard, Vicki Carter, Terry Colston, and Amy Sanders. She was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Jacob, Lucas and Samuel Howell as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Amos Jordan and Tommie Withers as well as her grandparents.
