Funeral services for Eulas Elbert Broadway will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Bellwood Baptist Church in Bellwood, LA with Rev. Roger Matkin and Rev. Jimmy McDonald officiating. Interment will follow at Bellwood Cemetery in Bellwood , LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on February 19, 2016 at Bellwood Baptist Church in Bellwood, LA.
Eulas Broadway, 82 years of age, passed away February 17, 2016. He was born October 21, 1933 in Vowells Mill, LA. He was a loving husband and father, and longtime member and Deacon of the Bellwood Baptist Church. He was a perpetual member of Robeline Masonic Lodge #344 as well. He retired from Northwestern State University after 23 years as a bus driver and mechanic in the automotive shop. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carloyn Dale Broadway; his children, Rodney Broadway and wife Cindy, Lawrence Broadway and life partner Patrick, and Robin Welling and husband Bill; his grandchildren, Jennifer Broadway, Venessa Raphiel and husband John, Amy Nectoux and husband Jason, Jeremy Broadway and wife Christina, Courtney Lacaze and husband Billy, Chris Welling and wife Hannah, Garrett Welling, Harley Welling, Jessica and Gavin Vercher, Crystal Berry, Kelly Park and husband Jake, Courtney Britnell and husband Jeremy, and Chip Rachal; his great grandchildren, Justin Cotton, Rebecca Holifeld, Grace Cason, Carolyne Raphiel, Jessie Young, Wesley Young, Aarlyn Broadway, Xavier Broadway, Tracy Lacaze, Riley Welling, Tiffanie Perkins and husband Corey, Dylan Berry, Kylie Parks, Journee Parks, and Jacquelyn Parks, Bryce Britnell, Colin Britnell, Dennis Rachal; and his great-great grandchildren, Traylehn Perkins, Brayden Perkings, and Jaxon Perkins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Broadway and Rosa Masters Broadway; three brothers, Everrett, Elton, and Earl Broadway; and one sister, Doris Strickland.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jason Nectoux, John Raphiel, Michael Simpson, Carl Upchurch, Ed Welling, and Neal Broadway.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tony Broadway, David Dale, Doug Masters, Eric Upchurch, Garrett Welling, and Chris Welling.
