Gail Parr Stern

Gail Parr Stern was born March 25, 1923 in Culpepper, Virginia. She grew up in Bloomington, Indiana and attended Indiana University. During her career as a draftsman she worked for the Department of Defense and RCA. In 1963, she married Henry D. Stern, who preceded her in death. To this union, one child, Gail, was born in 1965. In 1997, she relocated to Natchitoches, Louisiana with her family. She was an avid gardener, bird watcher, knitter, quilter, and collector of antiques. She will be missed by her family, especially her devoted felines, Rosey and Hector. She is survived by her daughter, Gail Stern Kwak and husband James; brother, Keith Parr and wife Edye; sister-in-law, Charlotte Parr and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry D. Stern; sister, Mary Alice Parr; and brother, William Parr. A private memorial service will be announced at a later date.
