Funeral services for Joseph G. Musselwhite will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with George Holland officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Trichel Community, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on March 4, 2016 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Joseph Musselwhite, 79 years of age, of the Trichel Community, LA, passed away March 2, 2016. He was born August 13, 1936 in Alexandria, LA. He was a kind hearted and fun loving man that never missed a chance to tell or pull a good joke. He loved and served his country, spending six years of service in the United States Marine Corps, and as the saying goes, he was always faithful. He was faithful to his country, his wife of many years, and his church, Lakeside Baptist. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by two sisters, Jean Davis and her husband Jimmy of Carthage, TX and Liz Quinten and her husband Bobby of McKinney, TX; one brother, William D. Musselwhite and his wife Donna of Trichel Communtity, LA; a host of nieces and nephews; his two cats, Wart and Bubba; and his dog, Michael Jackson. He is also survived by special friends, Curtis and Vicki Massingill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Lynne Musselwhite; his parents, Daniel P Musselwhite and Edna Laura Trichel Musselwhite; three sisters, Dannie Pearl Musselwhite, Millecent Musselwhite, and Ida Mae Musselwhite; and one brother, Robert Musselwhite, Sr. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Mark Swafford, Joey Musselwhite, Wayne Musselwhite, Robert Musselwhite, Jr., Daniel Davis, and Doug Davis. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis Massingill, Mike Murphy, William Ravin Musselwhite, Patrick Quentin, and Daniel Musselwhite.
