Graveside Service for Loren Delane Hamner will be held 10 AM Tuesday, May 5, 2009 in Ramah Cemetery at Ashland, La. with Rev. Wardell Coutee officiating. Visitation will be Monday, May 4, 2009 from 4 PM until 8 PM in Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Mr. Hamner, 80, of Natchitoches, La., died Thursday, April 30, 2009, in his residence at Natchitoches, La.
He was a native of Castor, La. He was a retired seismographer for Seismograph Service Corporation of Tulsa, Ok. with thirty-five years of worldwide service. He was a member of Social Springs Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Bertha Campos Hamner; parents, Houston Harold Hamner and Lillian Virginia Rigdon Hamner; brothers, Gerald Leon Hamner, Harry Wayne Hamner, and Martin Ellis Hamner.
He is survived by five daughters, Marcela Cecil of Bellevue, Wa., Patricia Storm of Trickham, Tx., Jesse Lea Henderson of Denver, Co., Jane Marie Brown of Lindale, Tx., and Frances Elizabeth Teutsch of Louisville, Ky.; two sons, Harry Hamner and wife DeLana of Natchitoches, La. and Michael Hamner and wife Karla of Stevensville, Md.; eighteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; many beloved friends and neighbors.
Pallbearers will be Jerald Hooper, Sr., Jerald Hooper, Jr., Phillip Hooper, Clay Hamner, Wade Hamner, Brandon Hamner, Lane Hamner, and Mary Hooper.
