Dennis Reed Martin

Dennis Reed Martin, 71, passed from this life to the next on March 19, 2016 in Fort Worth, Texas. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 1, at Trinity Baptist Church, in Natchitoches. Dennis was born and raised in Natchitoches and resided there until enlisting in the Air Force in 1962. He attended Northwestern and went on to a career as an entrepreneur, creating a number of businesses. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester Martin and Mildred Johnson and his daughter, Sherri Lynn McClain. He is survived by his wife, Lynn Blakeley, sons, Dennis Martin, Jr., David Blakeley and his wife Stacie, Adam Blakeley and his wife, Marie; daughters, Taylor Sharp and her husband, Tony and Susan Johnson; and his brothers Chester Martin, Jr and his wife Carolyn and Dexter Martin. He was a proud grandfather of Lenny McClain, Jr., Christopher McClain, Nicholas McClain, Victoria Neri, Mason Neri and Declan Blakeley.
