A graveside service for Mrs. Lois Knotts Gunter will be at 2 pm on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Memory Lawn Cemetery of Natchitoches with Rev. Linda Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 1:45 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches.
Lois, 89 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2016 in Natchitoches. She was born August 5, 1926 to Irby Knotts, Sr. and Trebie Pullig Knotts in Cotton Valley, LA. She was a graduate of Natchitoches High, a long-time member of First United Methodist Church of Natchitoches and belonged to the Eastern Star Chapter of Natchitoches. She was a loving wife, sister and aunt and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sister, Loretta Arthur and her husband Earl of Natchitoches; nieces and nephews, Cecil Knotts, Donna Vail, Linda Knight, Amy O’Con, Dennis Arthur, Rodney Arthur, Karen Arthur, Brandon Knotts, Stan Knotts, Jr., and Patrick Knotts; as well as numerous great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Irby Knotts, Sr. and Trebie Pullig Knotts; husband, Lester Elbert Gunter; siblings, Irby L. Knotts, Jr., Roy Knotts, Douglas Knotts, Stanley Knotts, and Christine Witschie.
