Frances Ruth Breedlove

October 17, 1933 — April 9, 2016

Frances Ruth Breedlove, 82, died at 12:00 AM, April 8, 2016, at Montclair Park Assisted Living and Memory Care in Shreveport, Louisiana. She was born in Natchitoches to Peter and Ila Breedlove on October 17, 1933.   She is survived by her three sons,  Fair (Vicky) and Clark (Michelle) Hyams both of Baton Rouge and Mark Hyams (Amy) of Houston, Texas. She was also the proud grandmother of Peter and William, sons of Fair Hyams with Ila, and Jackson Hyams, daughter and son of Mark Hyams.  Although she lived in Washington, DC for some time, Frances lived most of her life as a resident of Natchitoches.  She attended Natchitoches High and graduated from NSU.  She retired after a career with the State Child Protective Services. Frances lived a wonderful independent life, building her home on Cane River. She played the piano and was an accomplished water color artist having studied under Dr. Bill Bryant. She traveled and had the best of friends. While she was an only child her dozens of cousins filled her life with wonderful relationships and great memories.  There will be a memorial visitation at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM on Saturday, April 16, 2016.
