Funeral service for Mrs. Syvellia Moody Hight will be at 10 am Tuesday, May 26, 2009 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Reverend Ellis Newman officiating.
Interment will follow at Marthaville Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9 am until service time Tuesday, May 26, 2009.
Mrs. Hight, 88, a resident of Natchitoches for over 30 years, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009. She was born in Noble, La to the late Rev. Norman Moody and late Celia Ott Moody.
Mrs. Syvellia “Peggy” Hight was a long time resident of Pelican, LA. Her life was full of service to family, friends and community. She dearly loved children and animals. Truly, she was the depiction of the Good Samaritan who would reach out in kindness to anyone in need with love and selfless caring.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Debbie Tebbetts; her son, Thomas C. Hights and his wife Trudy; grandson, Matt Tebbetts; step grandson, Michael Rollinson; granddaughter, Garcee Jones; brother in law, J.A. “Debbs” Moore; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Isaac Welborn and second husband, Ernest Hight; sister, Ettie Lou Moore; step-sister, Nettie Graves and her husband Thurman.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Moore, Doug Hammons, Wayne Choate, Robert Owsley, Adam Levy, and Stanley Ferguson.
