Funeral services for Gordon Barry Lofton will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev.’s Roy and Jimmy McDonald officiating.The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until service time on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at the funeral home. “Gordy”, 61 years of age, passed away May 25, 2016. He was born July 2, 1954 in Los Angeles, LA. He was a colorful person who loved being around family and had a kind heart. He spent a lot of time with all of his family, and was always fun to be around. He was a big kid, and children enjoyed being around him. He will be missed. He is survived by his daughter, Jamie Shirley and husband Ryan of Provencal, LA; his grandchildren, Paige and Lance Shirley; his brothers, David Lofton and wife Judy of San Francisco, CA, Gary Lofton and wife Janet of Greenwood, LA, and James Lofton and wife Beatrice of Natchitoches, LA; and his sisters, Nona Jakabyffy of New Iberia, LA and Katherine Culpepper and husband George of Robeline, LA. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Lofton and Helen Abbott Lofton; and one brother, John Lofton.
