April Cosette Wise

April Cosette Donald Wise, was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, on March 31, 1979, and passed away peacefully at her home in Natchitoches, Louisiana, on May 27, 2016 after a battle well fought. We are truly grateful for her life, and that she has been freed from pain, with her spirit now free to fill the hole left in our hearts. April was dependable and hard-working; however, the job she took most serious was that of mother. She made every effort to see that her son, Skylar, grew up to be a well mannered, respectful, educated young man. Following her diagnosis of a terminal illness, her immediate goal was to live long enough to see Skylar graduate with honors. Her strong-willed nature allowed her to accomplish this goal. April faced her illness with selflessness, dignity and determination. She never complained or wanted pity. Even in the darkest hours, she was more concerned with those who loved and cared for her, rather than herself. April is a graduate of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La. April is preceded in death by her parents Michael Edwin Donald and Beverly Kaye Vail Donald of Campti, Louisiana. April is survived by her husband, Philip G. Wise and her son, Trenton Skylar Uriah Downs of Natchitoches, Louisiana. She is also survived by her brother Brandon Watson of Fernanda Beach, Florida. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, Louisiana.
