Lawrence M Dunn, Jr.

A Catholic Vigil service for Lawrence M. Dunn, Jr. will be at 10 am Saturday, July 2, 2016 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery in Chopin, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Friday, July 1, 2016 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Friday evening in the funeral home chapel. Lawrence, age 52 and a resident of Chopin, LA, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was born December 10, 1963 in Alexandria, LA to Lawrence M. Dunn, Sr. and Elaine Varnell Dunn. Lawrence will always be remembered as the life of the party. His outgoing personality always showed especially when he was on the dance floor or being the D.J. playing country music. A true Louisiana outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing especially with family and friends. He was a friend to all and was always available to help anyone in need. He will be dearly missed by everyone that knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence M. Dunn, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Jackie Nichols Dunn; sons, Eric Dunn and Preston Wilson; mother, Elaine Dunn; grandchildren, Braddyx and Mia Wilson; and siblings, Bonnie and Johnny Qualls, Ted and Charlotte Dunn, Larry and Earline Dunn, Rita Young, Kay and Malcolm Brossett, Randy and Tanya Dunn, Rose and Lynn Basco, David and Jane Dunn, Renee and Patrick LaCaze, Leisha Dunn, Darrel and Kayla Dunn, Lucina and Craig Puckett and Ryan Dunn. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Butch Orr, Craig Puckett, Seth Puckett, Shelby Dunn, D. J. Dunn and Kevin Dunn.
