Jeanette Niette, 73 years of age, passed away July 16, 2016. She was born January 8, 1943 in King Hill, LA. A smile, a warm heart, and a welcoming hand were all of the things one could expect when going to Sweet's home. She was a compassionate and loving lady who made everyone feel at home in her presence. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; she prayed for her family every night. She poured herself into her children, and is the reason they are who they are today. She took the means that her husband, Earl, brought home, and stretched them out to provide for all of their needs. She was a great cook and homemaker. As the grandchildren came along, she quickly became the best grandmother anyone could ask for. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Sweet is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Earl Niette of Provencal, LA; her children, Ricky Niette and wife Vicki of Coushatta, LA, Robert Niette and wife Glenda of Natchitoches, LA, Liz Williams and husband Terry of Natchitoches, LA, Patricia Gilcrease and husband Peyton of Campti, LA, Tracy VanHook and husband Clarence of Provencal, LA, and Shawn Festavan and husband Chris of Benton, LA; twenty-six grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Dill and husband John of Blanchard, LA and Shirley Young of Coushatta, LA; three brothers, Ray Irvin of Ajax, LA, Wallace Irvin and wife Pam of Shreveport, LA, and Jimmy Irvin and wife Linda of Shreveport, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
