Funeral services for Katie Lee Berry will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. John Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until 11:30 am on July 30, 2016 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Katie Berry, 95 years of age, passed away July 24, 2016. She was born to Frank and Mamie Antley November 2, 1920 in Natchitoches, LA. She is survived by her daughter, Betty Berry Geter of Bossier City, LA; those who lovingly refer to her as "Granny", Ted Lyons and Susan Barnhill and her husband Garey of Jacksonville, FL; her great grandchildren, Katie Hopkins and her husband Rob, Joseph Barnhill, Sarah Lyons, Logan Lyons, and Jeffrey Lyns; her great-great grandchildren, Asher, Margo, and Owen Hopkins, Emmalyn Conners, and Nevaeh Lyons; one brother, Floyd Antley; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend of 64 years, J.A. "Dolph" Berry in 2001; and her 21 year old grandson, Alan Lyons in 1979. God has taken her home to be with her family that has gone on before her that also include her parents, Frank Antley and Mamie Jordan Antley; one brother, Frank Antley; and her sisters, Lucille Tanner, Shirley Rachal, Bobbie Thompson, and Ruth Crow. The family would like to thank the staff of Natchitoches Community Care for the care they gave to Katie over the last year and a half of her life.
