Sarah Elizabeth Merrell

Funeral services for Sarah Elizabeth Merrell will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, July 29, 2016 at Galbraith Church of God in Marco, LA with Rev. Steve Miller and Rev. Joe Sharp officiating. Interment will follow at Merrell Cemetery in Lena, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm on July 28, 2016 until service time on Friday at Galbraith Church of God in Marco, LA. Sarah Merrell, 33 years of age, passed away July 24, 2016. She was born April 12, 1983 in Pineville, LA. She had a warm and bubbly personality and always lit up the room wherever she entered. She always made everyone feel welcome with her smile and love that she showed. She had a special bond with the many children that she cared for over the years, and would always strive to help a friend in need, no matter the cost. Her lovely voice will be missed on the Earth, but she will now use it to sing praises to the Lord for all Eternity. She is survived by her parents, Annette and Wade Merrell; her sister, Rachel Holman and her husband Demetrius; one nephew; two nieces; her fiancé, Ryan Dunn; her maternal grandparents, Daryl and Marcella Petefish; her paternal grandmother, Lenora Brown and her husband Eugene; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her uncle, Iva Owen Merrell, Jr.; and her paternal grandfather, Iva Owen Merrell, Sr. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jason Layssard, Gary Miller, Brett Nugent, Demetrius Holman, William Merrell, Jacob Merrell, and Stephen Cameron. Honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Dunn, Joseph Dunn, Casson Layssard, and Wade Holman. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Galbraith Church of God in care of the Merrell family.
