A service to celebrate the life of Mary Alleta Coats Whitley will be at 11 am August 1, 2016 at Beulah Methodist Church in Marthaville, LA with Rev. Doug deGraffenreid officiating. Burial will follow at Beulah Methodist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9 am until 11 am on Monday the 1st at Beulah Methodist Church located at 2279 Hwy 487, Marthaville, LA 71450. Mary Alleta Whitley, 90 years of age and a resident of Houston, TX, passed away July 27, 2016 in Houston, Texas. She was born August 19, 1925 to D.Z. and Evelyn Coats. She was preceded in death by her parents, D. Z. Coats and Evelyn Coats; husband, J. E. Whitley; sisters, Eloise Lester and Margaret Lamberth and her brother, David Coats. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Rasnick and husband Jack Rasnick; and son, Vann Whitley and wife Charlotte Whitley. She was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Drew Whitley, Justin Whitley, and Chris Rasnick; as well as nieces, Kay Coats and Janet Peden and nephews, Billy Lester and Jimmy Lamberth.
