Graveside services for Mary Jo Bruce will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at McCaskill Cemetery in Marthaville, LA. Mary Jo, 87 years of age, passed away August 18, 2016 in Houston, TX. She was born February 25, 1929 in Laurel, MS. She is survived by her son, Roderick Hammond Bruce; two grandsons, Marcus Dwayne Bruce and Chad Aaron Bruce; one great grandchild, Jacquelyn Marie Bruce; and a number of other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Newton McBride and Annie Victoria Windham McBride; three brothers, Paul Wisner McBride, James Thomas (Pete) McBride, and Clewis (Buddy) McBride, one sister, Katherine McBride; her great grandchild, Blake Greyson Bruce; and Roland Hammond Bruce.
