Funeral services for Lucy Faye LaCour Hicks will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches with Rev. Wayne Hicks officiating. Interment will follow the services at Fern Park Cemetery in Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, prior to the services, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Lucy Hicks, 88, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away September 10, 2016, in Natchitoches, LA. She was born August 28, 1928 in Cloutierville, LA. Mrs. Hicks spent most of her life as a homemaker. After her children were grown, she worked as an administrative assistant for a local attorney and at NSU. She was an avid bowler and participated in bowling leagues for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Andrew LaCour; her son, Dennis Hicks; her brother, Ray LaCour; and her husband, Carson Hicks. Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Carol Hebert and Sherry Ballard; seven grandchildren, Jason Hebert, Andy Ballard, Larry Wayne Ballard, Kristen Ballard, Chris Hicks, Clay Hicks, and Amie Edwards; and 11 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Courtyard of Natchitoches and Hospice of Natchitoches for their care.
