A Mass of Christian Burial for Annie Walker will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Gorum, LA. Interment will follow the services at Gorum Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm at St. Margaret Mary Church Hall on Friday, October 14, 2016. Annie Basco Walker, 78, of Gorum, LA, died October 12, 2016, at her home. She was born August 09, 1938 in Gorum where she lived for the majority of the early life. She later moved her family to Kansas City, MO for many years, but eventually returned back home to Gorum to care for her aging parents. She loved people, and always put the needs of others before her own. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by one son, Kenneth Walker of Gorum, LA; her sister, Opal Basco of Pineville, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Lee Walker; her parents, Ezzie Basco and Anna Delrie Basco; her sisters, Reba Webber, Susie Bolton, Bonnie Carnahan, Dorothy Johnson, and Carey Daldrup; and one brother, James 'Jim' Basco.
