Karen Manasco

Funeral services for Karen Manasco will be held 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Central Cemetery in Robeline, LA. The family will receive friends for visitation from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Karen, 49, of Robeline, LA, passed away October 22, 2016. She was born March 11, 1967, in Natchitoches, LA. Anyone who knew Karen knew she was a loving and kind person, and that she had a very deep love for animals. She especially loved her puppies and spoiled them as best as she could. Karen's hobbies included gathering arrowheads and different shapes and colors of stones to make plaques with; in which she would give to her family for keepsakes. She grew up as an only child, so she adopted her animals as her playmates. She had a beautiful singing voice. She even went to Nashville a couple of times and cut a few demos. She was a loving mother to her two boys and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernie W. Manasco; and her step-father, G.W. Conlay. She is survived by her two sons, Eric R. Mitchell of Robeline, LA and Bruce L. Mitchell and his wife Rebecca of Natchitoches, LA; her mother, Rose L. Conlay of Natchitoches, LA; and six grandchildren, Morgan Mitchell, Sawyer Eric Mitchell, Chandler James Mitchell, Avery Elizabeth Mitchell, Lillian Rose Mitchell, and Bailee Mitchell.
