Charles Edmond Longino, Sr.

Charlie E. Longino, 92, of Cloutierville passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2009, in his residence. He was born in Provencal. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 24 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville with Father Harold Imamshah officiating. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, July 23 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. Interment will be in the Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville. Longino was a former Justice of the Peace, police juror, school board member and Notary Public. He served in the U.S. Army and was an electrician for over 50 years. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers and two daughters, Beatrice Longino and Mary Alice Bennett. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Daisy Kerry Longino; one son, Charles Longino Jr. and wife Bernice of Natchitoches; two daughters, Daisy Salard and husband Paul Jr. of Cloutierville and Lucille Butler of Natchitoches; 10 grandchildren, Michael Salard and wife Michelle of Cloutierville, Paul Salard III and wife Carley of Provencal, Brent Salard of Alexandria, Pamela Disante and husband Trey of Natchitoches, Joseph Clyde Salard Jr. and wife Ruthie of Napels, Fla., Joey Salard and wife Kristi of Natchitoches, Jeffery Longino of Natchitoches and Richard, Jimmy and Michael Bennett of Harrisburg, Pa.; great-grandchildren, Shauna and Meagan Salard, McKailey and McKenzie Salard, Theron, Charles, Jared, Tiffani, Destiny and Taranika Salard, Brittany, Haley and Hunter Salard, Michael Foshee and wife Nicole of Winnfield and Kori Brossette and husband Shawn of Natchitoches; two sisters, Lucille Lemoine of Colfax and Ruth Graham of Ruston; and one brother, Otis Longino and wife Betty of Tioga.
