Hardy Lee Fletcher, Jr., age 67, a native and resident of Montgomery, Louisiana joined his heavenly father on November 7, 2016 in his sleep after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his sister Avis Adams and her family, now residing in Texas, and his sister-in-law, Sandra. He was the son of the late Hardy Lee Fletcher, Sr. and Mildred Lohman Fletcher. He is also preceded in death by his brother George Fletcher. His cousins Wayne Lohman and Bernice Hickman Loupe now deceased looked after Hardy for many years. That continued with Wayne’s wife, Irene Lohman, and her family as well as his cousin Cherilyn Taromina and her husband Rick of New Orleans and his dearest friend, Juanita Leonard. Hardy is also survived by many nieces and nephews. We’d like to thank the town of Montgomery and his community for the love and support they have always shown to Hardy. We would also like to thank Still Waters Hospice and Colfax Reunion Nursing Home for helping with his comfort in his last days. Hardy was one of the most determined individuals anyone had the pleasure of meeting. He was charming and kind-hearted. He was a fighter and never gave up. He was a member of the Montgomery United Pentecostal Church where we will celebrate his life on Friday, November 11th at 11:00am. His burial will follow at Mount Zion on Highway 34 in Wheeling, Louisiana.
