Funeral services for Cora Beaudoin Rachal Kirkland will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, December 09, 2016 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville, LA with Fr. Christian Ogbonna officiating. Interment will follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 10:00 am with a recitation of the Rosary at 9:30 am before the funeral mass. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate her life will be held in the church hall immediately following the graveside service. Cora, 95 years of age was called home to be with the Lord December 04, 2016, in Natchitoches, LA. She was born April 13, 1921, in Derry, LA. Housewife, homemaker, Mother, Grandmother (Momo), Great-Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother, and Great-Great-Great Grandmother, Cora grew up in the Cloutierville area and later moved to Alexandria where she and her husband, the late Isaac Rachal, Sr. made a home for their family. Some years after his death, Cora married the late Charlie Kirkland and later they retired to Melrose, LA. Ever faithful, she made a lasting impression on everyone she met and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents Alcide and Mary Josephine Beaudoin; husbands Isaac Rachal, Sr. and Charlie Kirkland; and siblings Rano Beaudoin, Sr, Caroline Metoyer, Kelly Beaudoin, and Suzie Couty. She is survived by her loving children, Isaac Rachal, Jr and his wife Hattie; Debbie Wilson and her husband Greg; She is also survived by six grandchildren; Isaac “Mike” Rachel, III, Sabrina Rachal, Eric Rachal, Isabella Rachal, Jennifer Wilson, and Natalie Wilson; two sisters, Irene Rachal and Orena “Ginny” Christophe; two brothers Victor Beaudoin and James Beaudoin; and numerous great, great-great, and great-great-great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cora Kirkland’s name to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville, LA. Those honored to be pallbearers are Jerry Jones, Danny Christophe, Leonard Sarpy, Joe Jones, Travis Jones, James E. Rachal, and Donnie Rachal. Honorary pallbearers are Lawrence Couty, Jr., Rano Beaudoin, Jr., and Kenneth W. Christophe.
