Robert Heath Brister

Funeral services for Robert Heath Brister will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2016, at 10:00 am in the Provencal United Pentecostal Church in Provencal, LA. Interment will follow in the Provencal Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Saturday, December 10, 2016, at the church in Provencal. Heath, as he was known, 40 years of age of Flora, LA passed away on December 06, 2016. He was born November 18, 1976. Heath was the beloved first-born son of Robert and Joyce Brister. He was a father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He was deeply loved by all his family and his memory will forever remain in their hearts. Heath lived a simple life. He loved and spent his life on the banks of Kisatchie Creek. He spent his time hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers and camping on the creek he loved. He was a master carpenter and his work was beautiful. He enjoyed football and monster truck races. He also enjoyed gardening and cooking. Heath loved his family and was always willing to give to others. He was always forgiving and believed in 'always staying humble and kind.' His beautiful smile and laughter will never be forgotten by those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kelcie Paige Vercher; and one niece, Isabella Kate Brian. He is survived by his son, Ryan Heath Brister; his parents, Robert and Joyce Brister of Flora, LA; two brothers, Derek Brister and Joshua Brister; two sisters, Heather Renee Brister Settle and husband Travis and Katelyn Brian and husband Charles; his nieces and nephews, Tyler and Hunter Gallien, Brantley Roberts, Jaxon Brian, Hayden Brister, Brooke and Kailey Brister, and Taylor Waggoner; and a special niece, Julie Settle. Those honored to be pallbearers will be Anthony Williams, Anthony Maley, Jeremy Hamm, Jeff Brister, Justin Brister, and Joe Givens.
