Sandra Jean Franks

Sandra Jean Franks (Jeannie) of Fairview Alpha went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 7, 2016 at the age of 63. She was born on November 16, 1953 to the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph N. Gallien, Jr. of Campti, LA. Jeannie is preceded in death by her sisters, Elaine G. Bostick, Patsy G. Gullo, Marie G. Barton, Linda G. Ropplo and brother, Joseph L. Gallien. Jeannie is survived by her husband, Gene Russell Franks, her children, Joshua Keith Franks and his wife Shelly Dubois Franks and Lucas Alan Franks and his wife Bridget Jones Franks; grandchildren, Gavin and Connor Franks; sisters, Beth G. Gilcrease, Celeste G. Bryant, Suzanne G. Coble; and brothers, Jimmy Gallien, Jerry Gallien, and David Gallien. She retired from Lakeview High School in Campti, LA where she touched the hearts and lives of many as a Special Education and Physical Education teacher. She enjoyed traveling with her family and, after retirement, found a love for making hand stitched quilts. Jeannie’s passion, however, was her family. Her love for them was shown in everything she did. To celebrate the life of this special soul, a Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10am Monday, December 12, 2016 at The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Campti with Rev. George Pookkattu serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 pm in the funeral home chapel followed by a eulogy service conducted by Richard Hale, Pastor of Grand Ecore Church of Christ in Natchitoches.
