Gladys Monette

A Mass of Christian Burial for Gladys Monette will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, February 10, 2017, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Natchitoches, LA with Fr. Marc Noel officiating. Interment will follow the service at Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery in Cloutierville, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday, February 09, 2017 in the chapel of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm during the visitation. Gladys Monette, 63, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away February 06, 2017, in Natchitoches, LA. She was born October 05, 1953 in Pineville, LA. Gladys was a warm and loving person; she loved life and she loved to shop. She was very devoted to her church, Holy Cross Catholic, where she was a member for around 30 years. She derived great joy from serving the Lord through the church. She will be missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, McKinley Monette, Sr. and Julia Metoyer Monette; two nephews, Peter Monette and Stanley Monette, Jr.; and three brothers, Stanley Monette, Sr., Leo Monette, and Willie Monette. She is survived by two sisters, Cecile Monette and Mary Silva and husband Robert; two brothers, Owen Monette and McKinley Monette, Jr. and wife Marie; nine nieces, Janie LaCour, Debra LaCour, Rachal Moran, Veronica Monette, Julia Monette, Stephanie Bayonne, Charlotte Monette, Patricia Monette, and Connie Monette; and seven nephews, Joey Monette, Keith Monette, Clayton Monette, Randy Monette, Willie Monette, Jr., Michael Monette, and Jason Monette.
