Henrietta was born Feb 21, 1949, in New Orleans, LA and passed to a greater life on February 20, 2017, in West Monroe, LA, just one day short of her 68th birthday, after a long struggle with cancer, surrounded by her loving children. She was preceded in death by her husband Amos David McFerren; her children, Amos David Jr., Patricia Ann and Christopher; a great-granddaughter, Jacie Sanders; her parents, Elza “Elzie” Eldridge and Hazel Hughes Eldridge; and her brother, John. Sue was a loving and devoted wife to Amos David for 36 years and loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She also loved her church family: there was nothing she wouldn't do for them. She loved working for the Lord and had a passion for working at the UPCI campground in Tioga, LA every chance she got. She will be missed beyond measure by her children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Left to cherish her memory are four daughters, Amy Carter and husband Lucian of Robeline, LA, Margrie Hodge and husband Alvin of West Monroe, LA, Hazel Carter and husband Nathaniel of Sulphur, LA, and Ginger Bowers of Pearl, MS; one son Mark Mcferren and wife Marsha of West Monroe, LA; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; two sisters; Helen and Onedia; and two brothers, Robert and Elzie Eldridge. Her grandsons are honored to be pallbearers: Lucian Scott Carter II, Jacob Scott Sanders, Nathaniel Clifton Carter, II, Daniel Bertram Bowers, Dakota David McFerren and Hunter Dwayne McFerren. Honorary pallbearers will be Joshua David Sanders, Jonathan Nicholas Sanders, James Andrew Sanders, Christopher Amos Carter, and Matthew Bertram Bowers.
