Charles Sidney Prudhomme, Jr.

Funeral services for Charles Sidney Prudhomme, Jr. will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at 10:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Natchitoches, LA with Fr. Mark Noel officiating. Interment will follow at Rachal Cemetery in Marco, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday, February 24, 2017, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Charles, 85, of Natchitoches, LA, died February 20, 2017, in Natchitoches, LA. He was born October 05, 1931 to Charles Sidney Prudhomme, Sr. and Angvie Edwards Prudhomme in Natchitoches, LA. He was an amazing person with a large family. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He loved to fish and hunt and was a great artist. He had many wonderful paintings and pencil drawings. Charles had a great sense of humor and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Cecelia Rachal Prudhomme of Natchitoches, LA; his children, Charles S. Prudhomme, III, Jim Prudhomme, Richard Allen Prudhomme; Lenn Strevy, Nikki Lilly and husband James; his step-children, Cindy Williams, Kathy Salveson, and Sonya Vaughn; his grandchildren, Amber Prudhomme, Seth Prudhomme and wife Melanie, Lindsey Reese and husband Nick, Alisia Redmond and husband Lance, Jamie and husband David Graver, and Dustin Lilly; nine great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren. He is also survived by the mother of Jim and Richard Prudhomme, Billie Ann Middleton Pierce; four sisters, Betty Jo Smith, Rose Beth Menou, Doris Bowden, and Deborah Powell; Tedd Prudhomme, Richard "Dickie" Prudhomme, and Danny Prudhomme; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sidney Prudhomme, Sr. and Angvie Edwards Prudhomme; his first wife, Elizabeth Crawford; and his son, Tad Prudhomme. We will all miss our Charlie!
