Leonard Martin Metoyer

A Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isle Brevelle, LA, will be held for Leonard Martin Metoyer on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. The service will be officiated by Reverend Charles Ray. Interment will follow in the St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. Visitation begins at 9:00 am Wednesday, April 26th in the Church with the recitation of the rosary at 10:20 a.m. Mr. Metoyer, passed away April 22, 2017, in Shreveport, LA. He was born January 31, 1929, to the late Numa Metoyer and Leah Roberts Metoyer. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Eddie Marie Conant Metoyer, a daughter, Patrice Metoyer; brothers: Lionel Metoyer and Numa V. Metoyer, and a sister, Joyce Faye Metoyer Dual. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Leonard was also a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Augustine Catholic Church. He is survived by three daughters: Sharon Metoyerjones, Sandra Lynn McGuire and husband Joseph, Renée Theresa Smith and husband Mack; two sons: Wayne Metoyer and wife Joyce and Lionel Metoyer; a brother, James C. Metoyer; his grandchildren, Kenric, Benjamin, and Thomas Smith, Danielle Metoyer Mitchell and Jarred Metoyer, Joseph, Adam, and Charlotte McGuire, Reyna and Michael Jones; and great grandchildren Darius, Jayla, Kennedy, Sydney, Wesley, Maris, Courtney, Kristen, Frances, Quincy, and Thaddeus; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
