Flora 'Flo' Tingle McQuillin

Funeral service for Flora "Flo' Tingle McQuillin will be held 10 AM Monday, September 7, 2009 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. Benny Alford and Rev. Jason Womack officiating. Burial will be in Memory Lawn Cemetery at Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Sunday, September 6, 2009 from 5 PM until 8 PM and on Monday, September 7, 2009 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Mrs. McQuillin, 87, of Natchitoches, La., died Friday, September 4, 2009, in Natchitoches, La. Mrs. McQuillin was a native of Colfax, La. She was retired co-owner of McQuillin Oil Co. and active owner of McQuillin Cattle Farms. She was an active member of Clarence Baptist Church where she had taught Sunday school and served on numerous committees’. She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley A. 'Mack' McQuillin; five sisters, Amy Desadier, Utha Worsham, Mildred Reed, Audrey Attaway, Doris Taylor; one brother, Lawson 'Buck' Tingle. She is survived by one son, Terry McQuillin, Sr. and wife Diane of Natchitoches, La.; one grandson, Terry McQuillin, Jr. and wife Sandy of Natchitoches, La.; three great-grandchildren, Riley McQuillin, Logan McQuillin, and Kristin McQuillin;one brother, J. R. Tingle and wife Elouise of Lone Star, Tx. Pallbearers will be Rayburn Smith, Alfred Brunning, Charles Shivers, Teddy Spier, Riley McQuillin, and Logan McQuillin. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Clarence Baptist Church. The McQuillin Family would like to extend a special thanks to Jo Ann Nicholas, Louisiana Extended Care Hospital, Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, and Hospice of Natchitoches for their care of Mrs. McQuillin during her brief illness.
