A mass of Christian burial for Harold Michael Hernandez will be Saturday, May 20, 2017, at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Natchitoches, LA with Fr. Marc Noel serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at Emmanuel Cemetery in Chopin. The family will receive friends Friday evening, May 19, 2017, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a rosary at 7:00 pm with Deacon Billy Goss.
Harold Michael Hernandez, son of Henry and Lettie Hernandez, passed away in Dallas, TX at the William P. Clements, Jr. Hospital. He was born in Alexandria, LA on March 12, 1949. He was an avid sports fan. Watching LSU and the New Orleans Saints was something he really enjoyed. Harold loved horse racing, really any kind of racing (NASCAR included), golf, and playing cards with his family and friends. He was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of Holy Cross Catholic Church. We are heartbroken that he has left us but are grateful for the memories of him that we treasure in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife Juanice Kerry Hernandez; children, Tiffanie Hudson and husband Jason of Houston, TX, Shannon Harris and husband Buster of Martin, LA, and Courtney Hernandez of Natchitoches, LA; eight grandchildren, Paige, Megan, Madison, Austin, and Christopher of Houston, TX, Cpl. Caleb Hernandez of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and Ashley and Brandon of Natchitoches, LA; four sisters, Yvonne Boswell, Dolores Fuller, Mabel Brossett and Henri Ellen Lee and her husband Edmond; as well as many nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Caleb Hernandez, Ricky Fredieu, Jeffrey Brossett, Eric Lee, Rand Kerry, Joe Kerry, Chris Romero, Mike Kerry. Honorary pallbearers include Odell Brossett, Kenny LaCaze, Jimmy Ray Spillman, Garrison Moreau.
