Karen Waters Sauce

A service to celebrate the life of Karen Waters Sauce will be at 2 pm Sunday, May 21, 2017, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Lamar Carpenter and Ronnie Sauce officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 pm until service time at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home on the 21st. Karen, 56 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2017, with her family by her side. She fought a courageous battle with cancer. Karen was a loving wife, mother, sister and aunt and will be dearly missed by her family. Her greatest pleasures in life were sharing time with her family. Whether it was skiing, mud riding, fishing, or softball, her enjoyment was in doing all those activities with her family present. She had a sweet spirit about her and touched the lives of so many people around her. The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation for the care of Karen to Dr. Barnum and Meg, Dr. Dhawan, and Dr. Westin at M.D. Anderson. A special thanks to Hospice of Natchitoches for care and compassion during such a difficult time. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Gene Sauce; mother, Corene Welch Waters; children, Corey Daniel Sauce and Leslie Michelle Oglesby and Floyd; sisters, Theresa Trichell and her husband Andy, Emily Jo Davidson and her husband Ronnie Gene, and Janice Dubois and her husband Shannon; brother, J. D. Waters, Jr. and his wife Susie; brother in law, Joe Berry; a special niece, who she loved like a sister, Patty Weeks and her husband Michael and their daughter Alaina; a special nephew, who she loved like a son, Joshua Sauce and his wife Megan; a great nephew, who she loved like a grandson, Tristan Sauce; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, J.D. Waters, Sr. and her sister, Katherine Ann Waters Berry.
