Carlton Lynn Maxey

Carlton Lynn Maxey, age 54, of Cloutierville, LA, died Thursday, September 10, 2009, in Shreveport, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. The visitation will be held at the Flatwoods United Pentecostal Church where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM Saturday, September 12, 2009. The funeral service will be at Flatwoods U. P. C. at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 13, 2009, with Rev. Doug Freeman and Rev. Roland George officiating. Interment will be at Gorum Cemetery in Gorum, LA. Carl was a man like no other. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and son. He was a hard worker all of his life and helped whoever was in need. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed raising a garden, and farmed when he could. He truly enjoyed helping people, and will be dearly missed by family and friends. He was the son of Joseph Maxey and Angie Fletcher Maxey. He is also survived by his wife, Renee Maxey of Flatwoods, LA; two sons, Josh Pharis and wife Theresa of Ball, LA and Kevin Maxey and wife Trista of Flatwoods, LA; one daughter, Deidra Mitchell and husband Alex of Bossier City, LA; nine grandchildren, Dakota, Brandon, Tristan, Gracie, Daniel, Alexis, Zayden, Hailey, and Kylee; two brothers, Chris Maxey of Corpus Christi, TX and Joey Maxey and wife Elaine of Alliance, NE; and numerous nieces and nephews.
