A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Claudine Middleton LaCaze will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 17, 2017 at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home, Natchitoches, LA with Bro. Randy Oliff officiating. Burial will follow at the Weaver Cemetery in Flora, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, 2017 at Blanchard St.-Denis Funeral Home.
Claudine, 84, and a resident of Flora, Louisiana passed away June 13, 2017. She was born November 1, 1932 to Robert and Ella Booty Middleton.
Claudine was a faithful member of Harmony Baptist Church. She loved her Lord, her pastor and her church family. In February of this year she was honored at the Trinity Baptist Church, Natchitoches, LA 65th anniversary as the last living charter member of the church.
Her husband Clarence preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Pam Saurage and husband Dale of Dry Prong, LA, Cindy Gilcrease and partner Everette Davis of Stonewall, LA, and Susie Brewer and husband Gary of Shreveport, LA; grandchildren,Emily Mixon and husband Nathan, Kristen Thompson and husband David, and Cade Brewer and wife Angela; great-grandchildren, Ryleigh and Reagan Thompson, Brewer and Marcy Helen Mixon, and Andrew and Olivia Brewer; brother, R.B. Middleton and wife Laverne.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Bobby Middleton, Rick Middleton, Wallace LaCaze, Hugh Gentry, Mark Brewer and Charles Tynes. Honorary pallbearers will be Wanel Brister, Kirby LaCaze and Mike Rachal.
Our Mother, MoMo, lived a life of servanthood. up until the day she died. She will be missed greatly, but her legacy of love will live on by the example that she set. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Fred and Sue Carter for their selfless acts and unconditional friendship.
