Charles E. Rowzee

Funeral service for Charles Edwards Rowzee will be held Saturday October 3, 2009 at the Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with visitation Friday October 2, from 5 pm until 9 pm and again on Saturday October 3, from 8 am until services start at 10am in the funeral home with Rev. Ron Thompson and Rev. Jim Winegeart officiating. Burial services will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Montgomery, LA with full Masonic graveside rites. Mr. Rowzee 69, of Natchitoches, LA died Sunday, September 27, 2009 at LSU Health Sciences Center Shreveport in Shreveport, LA. A native of Decatur, MS. He was retired from United States Air Force after 23 years. Mr. Rowzee was a former Vice President of Progressive Savings Bank and owner of Charles Rowzee Auto Sales in Natchitoches, LA. A member of Trinity Baptist Church, Nakatosh Shrine, Phoenix Masonic Lodge F&AM #38 and the Greatest Papaw. Charles is preceded in death by his father Roscoe Rowzee of Decatur, GA and his mother Dorothy Edwards Shepherd of Virgina Beach, VA. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 48 years, Julia Stroud Rowzee of Natchitoches, LA. two daughters, Cynthia Abraham of San Antonio, TX and Sherrie Sharp of Grand Prairie, TX son-in-law Mark Sharp and David Abraham, according to Charles four beautiful grand daughters, Stephanie Abraham and Jessica Abraham of San Antonio TX, Katherine Sharp and Sarah Sharp of Grand Prairie, TX one brother, Donald Rowzee of Campti, LA. Pallbearers are Mark Sharp, David Abraham, Jordan Hemperly, Aaron Castaneda, Michael Stroud all of TX Greg Fullerton and Timothy Fullerton of LA. Honorary Pallbearers Kenneth Rowzee, Harold Rowzee of MS . In lieu of flowers the family is asking that all donations be made to the Shriner's Children's Hospital. Mr. Rowzee had the greatest love for his grand daughters. He believed in the Hospital because children are our future.
