Stan Wright

August 21, 1952 — August 14, 2017

Ralph Stanford Wright was born on August 21, 1952, in Bastrop, LA – the firstborn son of Louise (Patterson) and Ted Wright. He was raised in Natchitoches where he graduated from Natchitoches High School in 1970, Northwestern State University in 1973, and from LSU Law School in 1978. Stan was the purchasing agent for NSU for over 20 years. He was a sports enthusiast – and a sportsman in the sportsman’s paradise - a true outdoorsman that loved to be at Stuart’s camp in Powhatan. Stan loved the sport of hunting, the skill of fishing, and time spent in the company of his brothers and friends. He is survived by his brothers, Robert Stuart Wright and his wife Aimee, John David Wright and his wife Kim. Cherishing his memory are five nieces: Lindsey Wright Parten (Jared), Kelly Wright Lambard (Luke), Brittany Wright Goswami (Vivek), Taylor Wright and Lesley Wright. The children of his nieces will always remember their Uncle Stan: Amelie, Knox, Rowan, Georgia, Grey, Holden, Harrison, Amara, Menka, and Dhruv. A host of friends will miss his presence in their lives. Preceding him in death are his parents, Ted and Louise Wright. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Demons Unlimited Foundation, to The Wright Family Scholarship; 468 Caspari St., Natchitoches, LA 71497. Our family wishes to thank the staff at MICU at University Health in Shreveport for giving their absolute best every single day. The family will receive visitors Friday, August 18th from 5 pm until 7 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held to celebrate his life on Saturday at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches.
