Funeral service for Brandon Colby Simmons will be 3 PM Thursday, October 8, 2009 in Blanchard St. Denis Chapel with Rev. James Thomisee officiating. Burial will be in L. C. Weaver Memorial Cemetery at Campti, LA. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 5 PM until 9 PM and on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 8 AM until service time in the funeral home. Colby Simmons, 23, of Campti, LA, died Saturday, October 3, 2009, near Ashland, LA He was a native of Campti, La. Colby was a motorman on the Ocean Star for Diamond Offshore Drilling of Houston, TX. He is survived by his mother, Lisa Marie Simmons of Campti, LA; one sister, Elizabeth Maree Harnage of Campti, LA; Maternal grandmother, Melva Jean Page of Springhill, LA; two aunts, Kimberley Simmons of Natchitoches, LA and Leslie Miller of El Dorado, AR; one uncle, A. J. Blackhorse of Natchitoches, LA; eight cousins, Bobby Johnson of Magnolia, AR, Chris Johnson of Sioux Falls, SD, Deltyn Stazy Miller of Abita Springs, LA, Kaine Hunt of Natchitoches, LA, Kailee DeLoach of Natchitoches, LA, Fredrick Wayne Johnson of El Dorado, AR, Deltyn Dale Miller, and Tommy Norris of Huttig, AR; one self appointed sister, Magen Cannon of Campti, LA; five self appointed brothers, Timothy Joseph Anslem, Ray Anslem, Bobby Glen Teer, Joshua Gilcrease, and Blaine Perot; one self appointed niece, Kimberly Anslem; one self appointed nephew, Cole Gilcrease of Campti, LA.; many loyal friends. Pallbearers will be Timothy Anslem, Bobby Teer, Josh Gilcrease, Blaine Perot, Ray Anslem, Bobby Johnson, Tommy Norris and Johnny Ray Giddens. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnny White, A.J.
