On September 23, 2017, Linda Gail Silas, 66, of Campti, LA, victoriously earned her crown, as our Lord Jesus Christ welcomed her home into his glory. She was met at Heaven's gate by her grandson Larry W. Cole, who led her to be reunited with her beloved family who had gone before her, mother Susie Lay, infant sister Lora Dale Johnson, brother Dale Delacerda, and brother Jimmy “Peace” Johnson. As Linda joyously celebrates her new life, she awaits the reunion with those she leaves behind. Her best friend, partner-in-crime, and prince of 52 years, Jesse J. She frequently enjoyed her chats with long-time friend and neighbor, Cloretha Williams, and adopted daughter Susan Yocum, and adored every minute she shared with her baby, Precious.
