Mike Brossett

A funeral service to honor the life of Joseph Michael Brossett will be on Friday, October 20, 2017, at 1:00 pm at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Marc Noel serving as celebrant. Interment will follow the service at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. A visitation will precede the service from 11 until service time on Friday, October 20, 2017. Mike was born in Shreveport, LA on March 29, 1953, to Ernest Brossett, Jr. and Betty Davenport. He was a retired corrections officer who worked for the State of Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Brossett, Jr. He is survived by his mother, Betty Brossett Davenport; his sisters, Elaine Garland and Betty Bryant and her husband Dennis; nephews, Brian Garland and his wife Hailey, Jason Garland, and Beau Dennison Bryant and his wife Jami; he is also survived by three great nieces, a great nephew and one great, great nephew. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Kenneth Hammett, Archie Dalme, Herbert Dalme, Steve Johnson, Beau Bryant, and Jimmy Lawrence. Honorary pallbearers are Brian Garland, Jason Garland and Richard Dalme.
