Frank Snodgrass, 83 years of age and a resident of Provencal, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017, surrounded by the people that loved him most. He was born on June 3, 1934, in Belleview, MO to Frank Homer Snodgrass and Iva Louisa Jarvis Snodgrass. Frank was the consummate storyteller. His ability to add details and humor to his stories kept everyone entertained. It was his talent for the gift of communicating that made him an unbelievable salesperson. His charisma and quick wit would make you believe anything he was saying. A very hard worker and a carpenter by trade, he could build anything. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. His membership to Fountain of Life UPC was so very important to him and the fellowship he shared with his church family brought him so much joy. He was loved by so many and he never met a stranger.
Frank proudly served in the United States Navy and was a Frog Man which ultimately led to being a Navy Seal. He was stationed aboard the USS Waldron DD699. His patriotic service was a very important part of his life.
Frank is survived by his wife, Patsy Snodgrass; children, Jimmy Snodgrass and wife Sue of Boyce, Johnny Snodgrass of Schertz, TX, Tammy Thompson and husband Mitch of Provencal, Frank W. Snodgrass, Jr. of Zwolle, Alice Barron of Marksville, Debbie Wilson and husband Keith of Provencal, and Tammy Dupree and husband Robbie of Provencal. He was affectionately known as “Paw-Paw” to numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and by “Unc” or “Buster” to many nieces and nephews that he loved like his own. He will truly be missed but never forgotten.
