Lavane Lodrigue Rachal

A funeral service for Mrs. Lavane Rachal will be at 2 pm Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Father John Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow at Rachal Cemetery in Marco, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Friday, November 17, 2017, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Lavane Rachal, 84 years of age, passed away Thursday, November 16, 2017, in Natchitoches, LA. She was born July 10, 1933, to Levy and Lucille Lodrigue in Marco, LA. She was a homemaker and took great pride in providing for her husband and children. In 1999, Lavane was honored with the LA Nursing Home Association Volunteer of the Year award. She was selected over 320 applicants statewide for her tireless work at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert Rachal and a sister, Rita Hernandez. She is survived by her children, Kevin Rachal of Natchitoches, LA, Ronald Rachal of Pineville, LA, Rodney Rachal of Pineville, LA, and Jill Holmon of Fairview Alpha, LA; her granddaughter, Emily Holman; and siblings, Romonia Lodrigue, Gayle Hodges, Tony Lodrigue and John Lodrigue.
