Mr. John Noble Roberts, 93 years of age and a resident of Bermuda, LA, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017, in Natchitoches, LA. He was born on November 1, 1924, in Isle Brevelle, LA to John A. Roberts and Anna LaBomme Roberts. He was the oldest of 15 children who included James, George, Reggie, Edward, Harry, Raymond, Antoine, Kerry, Mary, Eunice, Rosalie, Lucille, Jill and Natalie. He was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Bessie LaCour and his wife, Gwen F. Smith Roberts. John proudly served in the United State Coast Guard and was a veteran of World War II. He always considered Cane River home but spent most of his life in Los Angeles, CA. Moving his family to California allowed them to become successful members of society and they are forever thankful for the opportunity afforded to them by this act. He was born to humble beginnings but never lost his roots to Cane River. A very hard worker, he never let his disability become a disablement. At the age of 66 he began building his home in Bermuda, LA. He enjoyed fishing and gardening and was especially proud of the roses he grew. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Patricia Metoyer and her husband Marshall and son, Patrick Roberts. He was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and shortly expecting the arrival of a third.
