Jerrel Wayne Norsworthy

A memorial service for Mr. Jerrel Wayne Norsworthy will be at 1 pm Monday, December 4, 2017, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. Lee Dickson and Bro. Buster Jordan officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 7 pm on Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Wayne Norsworthy was born on September 24, 1936, and entered eternal rest on November 29, 2017, with his family by his side. He was the son of Gladys Marie Horn Norsworthy and George Curtis Norsworthy. He was preceded in death by his parents. He retired as superintendent of the Natchitoches Utility Power Plant after many years of service. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elda Faye (VanVeckhoven) Norsworthy of Coushatta; daughters, Anita Foster and husband Joseph of Daphne, AL, and Judy Sanders of Coushatta, LA; one sister, Jerry Ann Norsworthy Gregory and husband Kenneth. He was blessed with many grandchildren, Alisha Foster Senecal and husband Jeff of South Lyons, MI, Joseph P. Foster of Oceanside, CA, Derek A. Sanders and wife Elizabeth of St. Leonard, MD, Colleen Nicole Sanders and boyfriend Jerry Torres of Houston, TX, Brandon Foster of Daphne, AL, Courtney Nicole Foster Manning of Daphne, AL, and Travis Curtis Sanders and fiance' Alyana of Castor, LA; as well as 3 great-great-grandchildren, Ethan Senecal, Raven Sanders and Jaxon Senecal.
