Funeral service for Mrs. Johnnie Elaine Weems will be at 10 am Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home with Bro. David Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery near Hagewood, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Friday, December 29, 2017, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Mrs. Weems, 84 years of age, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born in Natchitoches Parish to John Roper Watley and Eula Maude Wyatt Watley on July 23, 1933. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Richard K. White; and siblings, Tressie Osborne, Pat Ray, Margie Horn, and Ray Watley. She is survived by her husband, William E. Weems of Hagewood; sons, Charles White, Alan Weems and wife Tina, and John Weems and wife Darlene; brothers, Roy Watley and W.F. Watley; grandchildren, Alicia Wells and husband Kevin, Amanda Pigford and husband Corey, Steven White, Cody White, Wade Weems, Haley Weems, Chase Weems, David Weems, Matthew Weems, and Rebekah Conlay and husband Aaron; great grandchildren, Braxton Pigford, Levi Conlay, Ashton Pigford, Tristan Pigford, Austin Gaskins, Victoria Wells and Kristina Wells. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include David Weems, Chase Weems, Matthew Weems, Steven White, Wade Weems, and Chris Durr. For her love of all children, she would prefer donations in her name may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital in lieu of flowers.
