A Mass to celebrate the life of Wayne Bostick will be at 10 am Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at The Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Louis Sklar serving as celebrant. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Monday, January 15, 2018, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Bill Morrow, Bob Morrow, Danny Collins, Eddie Collins, Jack Brame, Don Meeker, Herschel Lonadier, and Johnny Emmons.
David Wayne Bostick, 63 years of age and a life-long resident of Natchitoches, passed away Friday, January 12, 2018 in Natchitoches. He was born on August 20, 1954 to J.O. “Rusty” Bostick, Jr. and Helen Maricelli Bostick in Natchitoches, LA. He was a 1972 graduate of St. Mary’s Catholic High and later earned a Bachelor’s degree from Northwestern State University. He worked along-side his father in the road construction business and served as President of LA Asphalt Association. He is better known for being the owner/operator of Grand Rental Station in Natchitoches. He was a member of the Natchitoches Jaycees and the Natchitoches Country Club. Wayne volunteered and served on the Housing Authority Board as well as serving on the Exchange Bank Board. He enjoyed and was a very avid golfer. His achievements include 11 career holes in one, winning the Natchitoches Country Club Championship in 1987 and 1990, as well as numerous four-ball championships across the state. His ability to make clutch putts lead to his nickname “Wayno-Drano”.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Lisa Vige’ Bostick; son, David Bostick and wife Megan of Dallas, TX; daughter, Lindsey Bostick and fiancé’ Nick Stinson of Dallas, TX; sister, Kathy Bostick of Natchitoches; and grandchildren, Tripp and Danny Bostick. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rusty and Helen Bostick.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital are made in Wayne’s name.
