Funeral Service for Loyd E. “Toe Joe” Wood will be held at 2 pm Friday, January 19, 2018, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. Burial will follow at Davis Springs Cemetery in Fairview Alpha. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home. Loyd, 71 years of age and a resident of Fairview Alpha, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 in Coushatta. He was born on August 10, 1946 to Jack and Gladys Nelson Wood in Fairview Alpha. He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Ola Baker, Nancy Baker, Gloria Ann Wood, Joy Nell Wood, Allen Davis Wood, Billy Walton Wood and Douglas Ray Wood. He is survived by his siblings, Gladys Rae Warren and husband Ronnie, Sylvia Havard and husband Huey, Delores Bonnette and husband Tony and Tommy L. Wood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
