Roy Lynn Waddle

Roy Lynn Waddle, age 60, of Natchitoches, LA, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2009, in Natchitoches, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home, in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, November 23, 2009. The funeral service will be at First United Methodist Church at 1:00 PM Tuesday, November 24, 2009, with Rev. James Poole and Rev. Doug Cain officiating. Interment will be at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. From stomping cotton while a child as his first job to managing twenty-three states for Zeneca Ag. Products (now known as Syngenta Crop Protection), many things can be said about Roy Waddle. He came from a loving, Christian, and musically talented family. He was always at home, whether on the farm, in the band, in the woods, on the greens, before corporate giants, or with his family. Although he was determined to accomplish everything set before him, his one priority was always to provide for, protect, and look over his wife and two children. He succeeded. He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Patti Harville Waddle; one daughter, Marci Waddle of Natchitoches, LA; one son, Thomas Waddle of Virginia Beach, VA; one grandson, Michael Blake Matkin of Natchitoches, LA; his mother, Winnie Whitney Waddle of Campti, LA; two sisters, Jeanette McDonald of Shreveport, LA and Carol Gallien of Campti, LA; and one brother, Doyle Waddle of Campti, LA. Roy was preceded in death by his father, Willie Waddle. Pallbearers will be: Ronnie Blewer of Campti, LA; Jim Braucht of Ferriday, LA; David Herndon of Valrico, FL; Doyle Waddle of Campti, LA; Thomas Waddle of Virginia Beach, VA; Jim Windham of Coushatta, LA. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Nettles Brown of Natchitoches, LA; Estel Simpson of St. Joseph, LA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in Natchitoches, LA and the Gideon’s International.
