Jeffrey Brian Smith

Jeffrey Brian Smith, age 54, of Mobile, AL, passed away Friday, November 27, 2009, in Chopin, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Thursday, December 3, 2009. The funeral service will be at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Friday, December 4, 2009, with Rev. Joel Crawford officiating. The family will hold a private graveside service following the funeral at Emmanuel Cemetery in Chopin, LA. Jeff began his valve career at the age of 18 and had been employed with Industrial Valve Sales and Service of Mobile, AL the majority of that time. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He lived life to the fullest and was always available to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marlin Smith and Marlys Seemon Smith. He is survived by his wife, Karen Smith; two daughters, Shelly Miller and husband Stephen of South Bend, IN and Stacy Crawford and husband Joel of Fort Worth, TX; one son, Landon Smith of Mobile, AL; five grandchildren; and two sisters, Julia Parker of San Francisco, CA and Joan Morrell and husband Jerry of Wichita Falls, TX. Pallbearers will be James Ray Edwards, Jeremy Edwards, Dennis Vallery, Barret Vallery, Seath Vallery, and Blaise Salard. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rodney Salard and Larry Kerry.
