Bee R. Megason

Bee R. Megason, 80, a native of Beulah community near Marthaville, passed away after a long illness on December 1, 2009 at the Veterans Administration Long Term Care Unit in Pineville, LA. A service will be conducted at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home chapel in Natchitoches, LA on December 3, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Pastor George Treutlein officiating. Visitation will be from noon, December 3, 2009 until the time of the service. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery with full military honors. He was born August 30, 1929, the seventh of eleven children of Marvin L. Megason, Sr. and Ethel L. Place Megason. He retired from the United States Army in 1968 after 20 years of service to his country and upon retirement from the military was self employed until suffering a stroke that disabled him in 1997. Preceding “Bee” in death besides his parents, were wives, Norma Jenkins Megason and Christine Withers Megason; brothers, Austin Megason, Claudie Megason and Marvin L. Megason, Jr.; sisters, Gladys Megason Lauw and Doris Idell Megason. Remaining siblings are Curtis E. Megason of Morenci, AZ, Avis Megason Johnson of Houston, TX, Louise Megason Smith and Kenneth Megason of Robeline, LA; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Pallbearers will be Travis Eddleman, Mark Megason, Scott Megason, Nick Noe, Deric Smith and Cody Smith.
