Ann L. Derbonne

Graveside service for Ann L. Derbonne will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Cloutierville, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 am until 10 am on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Ms. Derbonne, 91, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009 at her residence in Shreveport, LA. Ann was born November 16, 1918 in Derry, La to the late Alcide and Victoria Derbonne. She was a graduate of Cloutierville High School and attended Louisiana Normal College in Natchitoches. She began work for United Gas Corporation in Shreveport and ultimately retired from Pennzoil Company with over 30 years of service. She is survived by her nephews, Jim Derbonne and his wife Becky of Montgomery, TX and Larry Brossett and his wife Sue of Shreveport, LA. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Freddie Derbonne and W.J. “Bill” Derbonne; and sisters, Hazel Derbonne and Rita Brossett. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include nephews, Larry Brossett and Jim Derbonne; great nephews, David Derbonne, Rick Derbonne, Chad Brossett; great-great nephews Keaton and Levi Holley.
